If you’re going to spam, at least do it right

Like every other blogger, I get my fair share of spam comments - ‘Great post! Keep up the good work! So what if I have nothing to say about what you’ve written! If you want to buy a rug, or book a trip, or get some satisfaction, click here…’

Usually, I dispense with spam-mentary immediately, but I just let one stand over on Pink Slip.

As with most spam comments, it had absolutely nothing to do the topic of the post - which was the Cutler Mail Chute. What stood out is that this one was from CBS Radio, presumably a reputable enough outfit, touting a call-in show at an online radio station in NYC.  And what stood out about the comment was the howling grammatical error - show below in bold.

All Things Employment is a call in show on ChatAboutIt.com dedicated to helping those with questions about the employment world. Host Vickie Causa is able to give you important and useful tips, fill you in on all federal regulations, and listen and give advice on all your job related stories. She will be having an array of expert guests on her show every Tuesday, whom will provide their own advice and expertise. Be sure and tune in every Tuesday from 2-3 PM on ChatAboutIt.com and don’t hesitate to call in!

Okay, okay, I make spelling and grammatical errors in my posts all the time. Nature of the blogging beast. And as a marketing professional, it’s not as if no typo ever found its way into my written words.

Still, I was really shocked to see this “whom” in there.

Who, who, who, who, who!

Note to CBS Radio: if you’re going to spam me, could you at least do it right.
